Certificates this week

Well done to Catherine, Joe and James for getting certificates this week. Catherine is such a great writer and she really deserves the certificate she got for writing an explanation of how the orb web spider spins its web. Joe has been working really hard this term and the work in his books really reflects the effort he's been putting in. James is such an awesome scientist and he has been sharing all his information about bugs and their habitats.
Well done to you three superstars!

Book Character Day

Look at the fantastic costumes Room 15 wore on Wednesday. Thanks to mums and dads for helping to get the children so well kitted out and for the gold coin donations. The donations are going to a Japanese student who was badly affected by the tsunami.

Check out the spider spellings on our spelling lists. Some of the words are pretty tricky!
Well done to Shanae who was presented with a certificate in assembly on Friday for being a great listener and always being ready to learn. What a star she is!
We were really sorry to say goodbye to Robert on Friday. We will miss him very much in Room 15. We wish Robert, Bella and their family all the best for their move to New Plymouth.

We've had a busy couple of weeks in Room 15. Last week the bugmobile came to visit and we learnt all about insect adaptation. This week we have started our spider inquiry. We have a microscope that we can hook up to the laptops so that we can see the creepy crawlies up close!
Go on this link to create your own super bug.
